Using the assistant

When live AI is available, your submitted message and recent conversation pass through our website service to OpenAI to generate a reply. This includes selected products if you ask the assistant about your supplies list. Avoid sharing payment details, passwords, identity documents or sensitive personal information.

Chat text stays in the current page’s memory; our website does not save it in browser storage or a conversation database. Reloading starts a new conversation. Application diagnostic logs exclude message contents.

We request that OpenAI not store responses for later retrieval. OpenAI may still retain content for abuse monitoring and other purposes described in its API data controls. The fallback company service guide generates replies in your browser, although a failed AI request may already have reached the service.

Chatting does not send an enquiry or booking to the VALEX team.

Your browser and supplies list

Temporary browser session storage remembers your selected products, options, quantities and image references, your brand-directory search and filters, and whether you dismissed the assistant invitation. Delivery notes and enquiry drafts stay in the current page’s memory rather than this storage.

You can remove selected products or clear the site’s stored data through your browser settings. Session storage belongs to your tab’s session; browser session-restoration settings may preserve it after the tab closes.

WhatsApp and email enquiries

Opening a prefilled WhatsApp link passes the draft to WhatsApp. Review it there and press Send to deliver it to our team. An email link opens your email application, where you choose whether to send.

VALEX receives the messages and contact details you share so we can respond. The channel providers also process information under their own privacy policies, including WhatsApp’s privacy policy. Ask us about retention of correspondence you have sent.

Hosting, security and external content

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website and assistant service, processing technical data such as IP addresses, browser information and traffic data. Its protection features may require security cookies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and cookie information.

Some catalogue images load from external suppliers, whose servers receive your IP address and browser request details. External links lead to services with their own privacy practices.

Our website code does not add advertising cookies or marketing trackers. Service providers may process information outside your country; their linked policies explain their processing and transfer practices.

Privacy questions and requests

You can browse without using the assistant or sending an enquiry. To ask about information VALEX holds about you, request access, correction or deletion, or discuss your applicable privacy rights, email info@valexyachting.com. Include enough detail to identify the relevant enquiry.
